PFAS-free Liquid Glass Coatings: Why performance will define the future

8654 Quick Gloss – Car Paint Coating for Gloss and Protection
August 25, 2026Everyone is talking about cleaning drones. Almost nobody talks about the liquid.
The drone gets the headlines.
The cleaning chemistry delivers the results.
Autonomous drone cleaning is rapidly moving from an exciting innovation to a practical solution for buildings, solar installations and industrial infrastructure. While most discussions focus on the hardware, in my experience one critical component is still underestimated: the cleaning chemistry. The cleaning liquid isn't just another consumable. It determines cleaning performance, operational reliability, material compatibility and, increasingly, environmental compliance. A professional cleaning solution for autonomous drone systems must do much more than simply remove dirt.
It needs to:
- deliver outstanding cleaning performance
- perform reliably in automated spray and dosing systems
- generate very little foam
- be compatible with a wide range of sensitive building materials
- reduce operating costs through high dilution ratios
- support increasingly stringent environmental requirements
At CCM, we've spent more than 20 years developing high-performance cleaning and surface technologies. That's why we believe the chemistry behind autonomous cleaning deserves just as much attention as the drone itself.
This thinking led us to introduce BIOSATIVA® Drone Clean Concentrate.
-
- BRIDGES & INFRASTRUCTURE: Cleaning of bridges, support structures and other hard-to-access infrastructure.
-
- LOGISTICS & WAREHOUSE BUILDINGS: Clean facades and exterior areas for a professional appearance and lasting overall impression.
-
- WIND TURBINE TOWERS: Safe and efficient cleaning of towers and surfaces of wind turbines.
-
- SILOS & STORAGE TANKS: Removes dirt, dust and deposits from silos, tanks and containers.
-
- INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES & BUILDINGS: Efficient cleaning of production halls, industrial buildings nd technical installations.
-
- ROOFS & ROOF STRUCTURES: Gentle and effective cleaning of metal roofs, trapezoidal sheets, tiles and other roof surfaces.
-
- SOLAR & PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS: Removes dust, pollen, bird droppings and deposits for maximum efficiency of solar and PV systems.
-
- GLASS FACADES & WINDOWS: Streak-free cleaning of glass facades, windows and large glass surfaces.
Although it wasn't originally developed exclusively for drone applications, its unique combination of:
- very low foaming
- excellent material compatibility
- outstanding cleaning performance
- PFAS-free formulation
- solvent-free chemistry
- readily biodegradable ingredients
- dilution ratios of up to 1:100
makes it an ideal solution for professional drone cleaning systems. For us, the future of professional cleaning isn't just about smarter machines. It's about combining advanced automation with smarter, more sustainable chemistry.
We're excited to work with drone manufacturers, system integrators, facility management companies and professional cleaning specialists who are helping shape the next generation of exterior cleaning.
