The term “liquid glass” is currently on everyone's lips – in tech blogs, social media, and the international media. This is an exciting development for CCM, as we have been pioneers in spray-on and wipe-on liquid glass coatings for mobile phone displays for almost 20 years and also develop and produce coatings for many other surfaces in the home, trade, and industry.
Back in 2011, CCM was the first company worldwide to launch a liquid glass coating specifically for mobile phone displays. At that time, most displays were still made of plastic. The innovation caused a sensation with its high scratch resistance and water repellency and was quickly distributed in over 60 countries – both under its own name and as an OEM solution.
Continuous development
We have been continuously optimizing our liquid glass coating for over ten years – today, it makes smartphone displays scratch-resistant and water-repellent, has a biostatic effect (significantly inhibiting the growth of bacteria on the surface), and reduces exposure to gamma radiation, which is considered highly damaging to cells.
We are delighted that the term “liquid glass” is so prevalent at the moment—even if it is used in very different contexts. At CCM, liquid glass stands for genuine spray-on and wipe-on glass sealing.
