CCM GmbH from Overath has won the "National Prestige Award 2021/22" in the category of "Most Innovative - In Chemical Production".
The award was awarded to CCM for the cleaning and coating project, which was undertaken on Penzance Promenade (UK) in 2021.
The project, which featured in the UK press, was significant in many ways. Firstly CCM were the only organisation which could remove heavy oil staining from the promenade, using a completely environmentally friendly cleaning process based on their bio cleaner „Biosativa®“.
Secondly, CCM were the only company which could supply a coating for stone which was highly durable, invisible and which offered exceptional stain resistance. (The promenade is lashed by winter storms and in the summer food stalls are placed on the promenade and food and drinks often fall on to the stone.)
The coating in question was the CCM 7620 stone coating. This coating has now been used in several highly prestigious projects in the UK and the USA.
The awards judging team also commented on the outstanding portfolio of technologies which CCM supply.
The award was presented in "The Palazzo" hall of "The Highbullen Hotel" in North Devon / England.
Neil McClelland, Technical Director of CCM, accepted the award.
