In a world where sustainability and environmental compatibility of industrial products are becoming more and more important, the safety of our products with regard to PFOS, PFOA and PFAS is increasingly being questioned. At CCM, we pride ourselves on providing innovative solutions that meet the highest safety and environmental standards.
Our commitment to your safety
PFOS, PFOA & PFAS belong to the so-called ‘Forever Chemicals’, which cause great concern due to their longevity and harmful effects on health. These substances are used worldwide for various industrial applications, but persist in the environment and in the human body, which can pose serious health risks.
We have made a conscious decision not to use C-8 compounds such as PFOA and PFOS in our coatings. Instead, we have opted for the safer C-6 technology, which has lower biological resistance and toxicity. In addition, we have developed our new ‘HB technology’ - a series of F-Zero coatings that are completely free of fluorinated components and therefore contain no PFAS.
Our products - your safety
Our range includes only PFOS- and PFOA-free products that meet the highest environmental standards. Of 38 products, 15 are also completely PFAS-free. Our products only contain fluorine compounds (PFAS) in the structure of the liquid if oil repellency is required. There is currently no substitute chemical in the world that produces this effect. In some cases, we only need ‘a few parts per billion’ within the formulation, which is far below the declarable value.
We are continuously working on developing even more environmentally friendly alternatives in order to fulfil future regulatory requirements and support environmentally conscious customers.
